PercentConverter is a free website for everyday percentage math. We build focused calculators and plain-language guides for the percentage problems people run into most — finding a percentage of a number, working out percent change, calculating discounts and sale prices, and converting between fractions, decimals, and percentages.
Why this site exists
Percentage calculations come up constantly — in shopping, tipping, schoolwork, finance, and business — but most people only need a quick, reliable answer and a short explanation of how it was reached. PercentConverter keeps the math front and center: each tool does one job, shows the formula behind it, and stays fast on a phone or a slow connection.
Who publishes PercentConverter
PercentConverter is published by Chesco Ventures, LLC (Digital Publishing), an independent digital publishing company. We are the operator and editor of the site. You can reach us any time at hello@percentconverter.com.
How our content is created
We want you to be able to trust the numbers here. Our content process is straightforward:
- Calculators run in your browser. The math is computed by JavaScript on your device. The numbers you enter into a calculator are not sent to or stored on our servers.
- Human review of every tool and guide. Each calculator, formula, and worked example is reviewed by an editor and fact-checked before it is published, and checked again when it is updated.
- AI-assisted drafting. Some text is drafted with the help of AI tools and then edited, fact-checked, and corrected by a person. AI assistance is never used to generate pages at scale purely to influence search rankings.
- Formulas shown openly. Where a tool applies a formula, we show it alongside the result so you can verify the math yourself.
Editorial standards
- Accuracy first. If you find an error in a calculation or a guide, we want to know about it. Email hello@percentconverter.com and we will review and correct it.
- Editorial independence. Advertising and any commercial placements never change a calculator’s result. Ads are labeled as ads and kept separate from the calculation.
- Plain language. We aim for short, clear explanations that a general reader can follow, with the underlying formula available for those who want it.
Advertising and affiliate links. PercentConverter is supported by advertising (including Google AdSense). We do not currently use affiliate links. If that changes, we will disclose affiliate relationships clearly, next to any recommendation, and never let them affect a calculator’s output.
